We are looking for Appraisers/Warehouse Operatives who want to be part of this unique business and take their career to the next step. Having grown from strength-to-strength over the last few years, the business is now on its next phase of its journey. Now with a primary focus on maintaining the high customer satisfaction standards they have, whilst increasing headcount, this is an opportune time to be part of that strategy.
About the role
The Appraisals team is one of the main functions of the business, ensuring every item that is received is accurately valued (don’t worry training is provided). As the first point of contact with our customers’ goods, you will carefully assess each box to provide a fair and transparent offer. Working in a team of around 35 with opportunities to progress from Trainee to Senior levels, there really is an opportunity for your career to grow. You will be responsible for:

Evaluating customers' items daily

Making well-informed decisions whilst working alongside specialists and your team leader

Developing expertise across a diverse range items while striving to meet and exceed targets

Accurately appraising 23-25 boxes per day, maintaining a quality target

Take on greater responsibility for quality control, ensuring minimal errors through audits and feedback

Maintain high levels of accuracy to meet quality control standards
Our ideal candidate
We are looking for someone who has worked within a warehouse environment, that has a keen eye for detail and is used to working to targets. This isn't your typical picking and packing role, it requires someone who is keen on ensuring best practices are followed and wants to further develop their skill sets. Further to the above:

Strong attention to detail and a passion for learning about various antique items

The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

A methodical and analytical approach to decision-making

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

Previous experience in valuation, appraisals, or a related field is beneficial but not required—full training is provided
