An exciting opportunity has presented itself for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading planning consultancy in Leeds!

You'll have the chance to work on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, while gaining client exposure and growing your skills in a supportive and close-knot team!

Duties of the Role:

  • Coordinate planning applications, manage consultant inputs, and handle local authority queries.
  • Lead pre-application discussions and negotiate with local planning authorities and stakeholders.
  • Prepare planning statements, policy reviews, and reports.
  • Support planning appeals, including preparing appeal statements, and liaising with legal teams.
  • Work closely with developers, landowners, and housebuilders to unlock development potential.

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience in town planning (public or private sector) at Planner/Senior level.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive, solution-driven approach.
  • Client-facing experience and a commercially aware mindset.
