Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing are working in partnership with a highly successful Leeds based manufacturer who supply an exceptional range of products to a large customer base across the UK and internationally.

This leading UK business has experienced impressive growth in recent years due to their innovation, agility, and an ambition to succeed and are now looking to expand their manufacturing team to accommodate the increase in production requirements.

They are now looking for a Planning Manager to assist them in driving the business forward for 2025 and beyond.

Description

The Planning Manager will manage an experienced team of 8 people with full ownership for SAP and working with all functions to lead the further development of S&OP.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Take full ownership and responsibility over the Planning strategy for the site.
  • Work with all stakeholders to ensure the S&OP strategy is aligned business wide.
  • Management of the production, inventory, supply and demand planning areas.
  • Collect and understand data and present this back to the business proactively.
  • Anticipate the impact of external factors on supply chains and mitigate risk.
  • Maintain quantifiable measures for tracking actual performance against plan, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Board level communication via reporting and presentations as required.

Profile

The successful Planning Manager will have:

  • Proven leadership in a planning or supply chain leadership role ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in all areas of planning.
  • Experience of leading and developing a team of 5+ employees.
  • Demonstrable achievements in improving processes
  • Excellent SAP knowledge (ideally with demonstrable experience of delivering functionality from IBP)
  • Ability to influence and effectively work and lead cross-functional teams - translating data for the wider business.
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
