Portfolio Research Officer
Location: Leeds City Center
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (60-minute break) Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Short-term (until end of November)
Our client is an integral part of the National Institute for Health Research, funded by the Department of Health and Social Care, with a mission to enhance the health and wealth of the nation through impactful research.
We are seeking a dedicated Portfolio Research Officer to join Research Delivery team. This role is essential for managing study information and ensuring the successful feasibility, portfolio entry, setup, and delivery of all Portfolio studies.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the processing of studies for inclusion in the RDN portfolio, coordinating all stages from initial contact to study closure.
  • Maintain high-quality study information, identifying major issues and suggesting improvements in collaboration with Data Support Coordinators and Data Integrity Managers.
  • Ensure an accurate audit trail of all study information, logging changes in study records and appropriate RDN study trackers.
  • Educate Chief Investigators and Study Coordinators on the importance of providing timely study information and recruitment data for the RDN Portfolio.
  • Develop and manage systems to alert and follow up on required information professionally.
  • Provide guidance on complex recruitment upload queries.
  • Collaborate effectively with Data Support Coordinators, Portfolio Support Assistants, and the wider Research Delivery team to resolve problems and ensure timely responses to queries.
  • Liaise with devolved administrations to facilitate effective communication between (England) and the Scottish, Welsh, and Northern Ireland Research Portfolios.
  • Review business processes and propose improvements to enhance the management of study information.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in research administration or a related field is preferred.
