We are looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join the team in September 2024. This role is perfect for those with a passion for working with young people and supporting them to overcome challenges, enabling them to thrive academically and personally.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting students with additional learning needs. Your support will help them access the curriculum and engage fully with their education. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic school that prioritises student development, both in and out of the classroom.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing targeted support to students with learning difficulties or special educational needs.
  • Assisting teachers in the delivery of differentiated lessons that cater to individual student needs.
  • Working one-to-one or in small groups with students who require additional guidance.
  • Supporting students in developing their confidence, independence, and academic skills.
  • Helping to create a positive and nurturing learning environment for all students.
  • Assisting with classroom management and ensuring a calm and focused atmosphere.
  • Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure that students' progress is closely monitored.
