Sales Development Representitive

As a Sales Development Representitive, you are responsible for generating high-quality sales leads and driving business growth in new markets. You will be targeted and rewarded with attractive bonuses for arranging qualified sales appointments with buyers at OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers). If you are successful in creating viable sales opportunities for the commercial team in this role, you will benefit from multiple commercial career progression paths with the company.

What are your key responsibilities?

· Market Research & Lead Generation: You will be identifying clients and contacts through outbound calling, LinkedIn and social media, email marketing, online research, and networking with stakeholders and the people you connect with.

· KPI Achievement & CRM Management: This is a new business development role that will require you to meet and exceed key performance indicators related to generating and progressing qualified sales leads. This will include ensuring that the CRM is up to date with accurate high-quality data.

· Client Targeting & Pipeline Management: Your sales activity will be focused on managing and nurturing sales pipelines in OEM marketplaces. Your goals will be to consistently generate opportunities with clients that require repeat and / or scheduled orders.

Have you got the experience and skills required for this Sales Lead Generator vacancy?

· You must have previous sales experience and have a proven ability to identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound calling and online sales activities.

· You must have engineering knowledge. Although not essential, some familiarity with CNC machining & metal cutting is advantageous.

· You must be confident in working in a high value sales environment where minimum customer spend is £250K. Although not essential, previous experience of successfully building commercial relationship with Tier 1 & Tier 2 supply chains is advantageous.

Company Information:A 60-year-old Leicester-based engineering company that are internationally recognised for their expertise in manufacturing precision pins for the construction and mining sectors. Following a recent change in the Ownership and Senior Management Team, the company is seeking to expand and diversify. In your role, you will be reporting to a Commercial Manager that has been promoted twice with the company. Staff turnover in commercial areas at this company is extremely low, so you will also be working alongside people with many years’ experience with the company in a professional office environment.
