Finance Analyst (Databricks & SQL)
?? Location: Leicester, 4 days a week in-office?? Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + 10% bonus
I am working with a large, well-established retailer who is looking for a Finance Analyst to join their Cash Accounting team. This role is critical in driving payment optimization strategies, working with tens of millions in P&L and third-party payment providers like Amex. As the sole dedicated analyst, you will play a key role in spearheading insight production, enabling smarter financial decisions and optimizing payment methods.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Working closely with non-technical finance stakeholders to deliver clear, data-driven insights.
- Leveraging SQL and Databricks to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Developing and automating financial reports, streamlining manual processes for efficiency.
- Performing adhoc analysis to support decision-making and improve financial performance.
- Creating compelling data visualizations to enhance finance reporting.
What We're Looking For:
? 3-4 years of experience in a finance/data analytics role.? Strong SQL and Databricks skills for data analysis and reporting.? Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.? Experience handling large datasets, optimizing payment methods, and improving financial processes.? Strong data visualization skills, with experience in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.? Self-starter who thrives in an autonomous role with a high level of ownership.
