Are you a hands on operational and transactional HR professional able to handle ER cases independently and looking to join a small and supportive team?

This role is a HR Advisor role supported by a HR Administrator, reporting into a HR Manager and would suit a highly experienced HR Officer/Coordinator ready to step into a HR Advisor role or an experienced HR Advisor looking to work in a supportive team.

Our client are a manufacturing organisation based in Leicester with c. 1000 and your day to day duties as a HR Advisor include:

  • Employee relations case management & taking lead on cases including complex disciplinaries and grievances
  • Leading on absence management cases
  • Leading on any restructures & consultations
  • Visiting sites and working with line managers to identify employee issues working on effective solutions whilst upskilling and coaching
  • Contract updates and amendments
  • Policy writing
  • Assisting HR manager with Recruitment
  • Working with administrative team to keep employee database up to date
  • Take notes at meetings/hearings

This is a full time permanent position which is based full time on-site the the Leicester offices so you can work closely with your HR and wider services team and there is flexibility to work between the hours of 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday and work longer/shorter days when needed.

This role would suit either an experienced HR Officer / Coordinator who is competent in independently handling ER cases independently including disciplinaries and grievances who feels ready to progress into a HR Advisor role. This role would also suit an experienced HR professional wanting a really hands on operational and transactional HR Advisor role who particularly enjoys coaching and upskilling line managers.

You will have an up to date and in depth employment law knowledge alongside a CIPD Level 5 or be open to working towards this qualification. A strong understand and experience in handling long term sickness and absence cases as well as working with managers to tackle absence problems and identify trends and offer solutions is also required.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a true operational HR Advisor role, supported by an Administrator and opportunity to work daily with a highly experienced HR Manager.
