Salary: Competitive

Location: Melton

Job Type: Full-time, permanent 42 hours per week, 2 shift rotation days and nights.

Job Summary/ Purpose

The role involves the testing and inspection of materials produced in our manufacturing facility and raw materials. This ensures that all product meets the recognised quality standards.

Testing includes:

  • Extrusion of samples using twin and single screw extruders - samples to be used for colour measurement and inspection of material finish.
  • Producing samples using lab injection moulder for colour measurement and other specified tests.
  • Testing of flexible compound using NMR, S.G., BS
  • Colour testing of samples using colourimeter, some colour correction on products may also be required.
  • Tensile testing
  • Some incoming raw material testing
  • Plant checks to ensure all raw materials meet specification and are correctly set up.

Knowledge/ Experience Required

  • 2-3 years similar experience of quality testing in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Must be well organised and have methodical ways of working
  • Must be able to understand and follow procedures
  • Must understand and respect the importance of correct adherence.
  • Good writing skills a pre-requisite, must be computer literate e.g. familiar with Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask
