OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating various machinery within a manufacturing or warehouse environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality components while adhering to safety standards and operational guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery, including mills, to ensure optimal performance and output.
- Assemble components using hand tools and precision equipment, following technical specifications.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on machines and tools to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to production processes.
- Handle materials safely, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and resolve any operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and any incidents that occur during shifts.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, for interpreting technical drawings.
- Competence in using tooling and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Experience in materials handling, ensuring proper techniques are followed for lifting and transporting goods.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail in all tasks undertaken.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8am to 4:30pm
