Part Time Finance Manager

Lewes - own transport required

£50,000-£55,000 FTE

We’re working with a highly successful and innovative growing business on a new opportunity for a Part Time Finance Manager for 3 days per week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is commercially astute.

This opportunity will report directly to the Finance Director with a focus on support for the senior management team.

Role overview:

  • Assist with accounts payable & accounts receivable processes
  • Management of the month-end financial reporting process
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts and review monthly cash forecasts
  • Control of annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Reviewing & reconciling invoice discrepancies. Working with other internal departments to resolve invoice queries
  • Work with external providers of legal, accounting, audit and other professional advice, especially to ensure the compliance and filing of Statutory Financial Statements to Companies House and corporate tax returns to HMRC
  • Managing Construction Industry Scheme - verification of sub-contractors, invoices ensuring the correct deduction is made under the CIS rules
  • CIS reconciliation
  • Manage the administration of customers and suppliers including all new account and credit applications
  • Support the organisation in day-to-day operations/support with any ad hoc or administrative tasks as required

  • Are a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Have excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Have a demonstrated history of people management
  • Have experience of delivering detailed reports and advice to the senior leadership team
  • Are analytically minded
