Description
- As the IT Manager, you will take a central role in the successful management of the company's IT operation, combining project work, BAU responsibilities, and the management of a small team of two IT Engineers.
- You will operate in an environment that prioritises cutting-edge technologies, including a cloud-first strategy adoption of Azure and Office365, as well as networking and security.
- In addition, given the manufacturing sector focus, you will be centrally involved in business critical applications, such as the company's ERP system.
- You will partner closely with the company's Managed Service Partner, ensuring that the highest possible level of IT Service is being delivered to the internal userbase.
- Reporting into the Head of IT, you will have the chance to have significant input into IT strategy, shaping vital aspects of the evolving journey of IT across the organisation.
- You will take a fundamental role in the development and management of the in-house IT Support team, which consists of two well-established Engineers that cover all elements of 1st and 2nd Line responsibilities.

Profile
- As the successful candidate for the IT Manager position, you will have at leat 3 years commercial experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
- You will have strong ITIL knowledge, and the skill to implement ITIL into the development of best-in-class IT Service Management practices.
- Your technical knowledge will preferably include a strong Microsoft focus, particularly with cloud-based technologies, such as Azure and Office365.
- Given the manufacturing sector focus of the business you will join, the strongest candidates will have a good level of experience working with an ERP system.
- You will have a good level of experience managing relationships with thrid parties, such as outsourced Managed Service Providers.
- You will be based locally to the Lichfield office, and be flexible to be site-based 4-5 days per week.
Job Offer
- Starting salary of £50,000 - £60,000.
