Role Responsibilities
  • Preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Providing tax planning advice, including self-assessment tax returns and dividend/remuneration planning for directors
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic guidance on accounts, taxation, and financial processes
  • Managing and developing strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality service and support
  • Reviewing VAT returns prepared by the bookkeeping team
  • Providing mentoring and leadership to junior staff, supporting their growth and development
  • Handling ad-hoc accounting and advisory work, responding to client needs and business opportunities

Candidate Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (essential)
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a client management role within an accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting
  • Experience in financial systems, budgeting, data analysis, and auditing
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to identify client challenges and provide tailored solutions
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
