My client is a highly successful, extremely adaptable, growing manufacturing business based in Lincoln. They have been manufacturing at their site in Lincolnshire for over 50 years and with a team of about 200 people they design, manufacture and distribute an exceptional range of assembled products both across the UK and internationally.
Due to ongoing company growth they are currently looking to add a Quality Manager into the team structure to further improve their quality agenda and customer focus.
This Quality Manager role will be responsible for implementing improved quality management systems, reducing the number of customer complaints and internal waste through effective influencing of the manufacture, design and supply chain.
Description
- Lead improvement of the internal quality systems, procedures and processes, to maintain ISO9001 accreditation
- Develop a suite of KPIs and drive a KPI quality focussed culture within internal manufacturing and external supply chain to ensure the best quality outcome
- Develop the existing team both within the quality department, and the wider business, when it comes to quality standards
- Analyse data to identify common trends and implement appropriate preventative actions
- Liaise with customers to manage any quality related issues and relationships
- Create a 3-year quality plan for the business to ensure long term success by achieving better experiences for the customers
Profile
The successful Quality Manager will have:
- Experience in a Quality Management role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven history of acting as an agent for change
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 and other quality management systems
- A proactive mindset and be someone who takes ownership of the department
- Be process driven and take the business on a learning journey to move away from current paper-based systems and into the digital world
