Job title: NPI Design Engineer
As NPI Design Engineer you will Oversee concept development - developing ideas and prototypes to establish the feasibility of designs using suitable prototyping techniques. You will also develop product design using the CAD system as well as develop a qualification plan and execute the required product testing against the relevant legislative requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Concept development: Develop ideas and prototypes to establish the feasibility of designs using suitable prototyping techniques.
- Product Design: Develop product designs using the CAD system.
- Product approval: Develop a qualification plan and execute the required product testing against the relevant legislative requirements.
- Product testing: Organise, manage and conduct testing of new and current products.
- Production preparation: Document product manufacturing work instructions and advise production of any jigs and test equipment that will be required.
Requirements:
- Formal engineering qualification - HNC, HND, Degree ideally is preferred, alternatively equivalent experience and evidence of continuing CPD and demonstrable theoretical knowledge of engineering principles
- 3D CAD experience is essential,
- Mechanical and electrical dexterity is essential in order to assemble mechanical and electrical components.
- Electrical circuit design and knowledge of electrical components is advantageous
- Gas system design and knowledge of gas components is advantageous
