About the Role

The Financial Controller willreport directly to the Finance Director, this role offers an exciting opportunity to influence key decisions, develop innovative financial strategies, and drive operational efficiency.

You will lead the finance team in this hands-on leadership position where the successful candidate will have the autonomy to identify and implement improvements, fostering a culture of excellence within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of financial reports, budgets, and strategic forecasts.

  • Develop and implement innovative financial strategies to support the organisation's goals.

  • Ensure strong financial controls and effective risk management processes.

  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership, driving informed decision-making.

  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of success and accountability.

  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements to enhance financial performance.

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards.

  • Support long-term financial planning and analysis to position the organisation for future growth.

Skills and Experience:
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.

  • Experience in a senior financial management role.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
