Head of Business Development - Rehabilitation & MSK Services

Location: Home-based with regular travel to offices in Chorley, Preston, and LiverpoolSalary: £50,000 - £55000 per annum dependant on experience plus uncapped commission structure, travel allowance and additional benefitsReports to: Senior Management Team

About the Role:

Compass Associates are working in partnership with a community-based rehabilitation service in their pursuit of an experienced and dynamic Head of Business Development to drive the growth and development of their divisions. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role in a thriving business, working across multiple locations and divisions with a focus on both business development and cross-selling opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the business development strategy
  • Collaborate with Clinical Directors to support the technical components of the sales process.
  • Drive expansion of services from a regional to a nationwide reach.
  • Develop and implement strategies for new services
  • Lead the BD team, including a Marketing Assistant and a part-time marketing assistant (returning in March).
  • Cross-sell services into mutual customer accounts across both divisions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in business development, ideally within healthcare, medico-legal, or related sectors (experience with CM companies or the legal sector is a plus).
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage a hybrid and flexible workload, balancing strategic planning with hands-on sales and customer management.
  • Strong understanding of the clinical side of sales, working closely with the Clinical Directors to develop solutions.

Objectives and Performance:

  • Stabilizing and growing the divisions as we launch their new services .
  • Expanding existingservices beyond the Northwest, aiming for a nationwide presence.
  • Focus on increasing efficiency and scaling operations across both divisions.

Travel and Office Presence:

This is primarily a home-based role, with the need to travel to offices in Chorley, Preston, and Liverpool approximately twice per month. You will also have regular interactions with senior teams based in Manchester and work with clients across the UK.

Commission Structure:

This role offers uncapped commission, with KPIs set during the annual budget round. The commission will be linked to achieving growth and sales objectives across both divisions, with an opportunity to be rewarded for performance.
