EYFS Teaching Assistant - Anfield

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the heart of Anfield, on a long-term and full-time basis. This role includes providing both general and 1:1 support across the EYFS cohort.

Key details:

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Working hours:30am - 3.30pm
  • Location: Anfield

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting the teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities, always ensuring their safety.
  • Helping to manage children's behaviour positively and consistently.
  • Assisting with transitions, such as settling children in at the start of the day or preparing them for home time.
  • Offering one-to-one or small-group support to children who need additional help, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Observing and documenting individual children's progress to support their learning journey.

Person specification:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or equivalent (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or BTEC in Childcare).
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills (often GCSEs in English and Maths, grade 4/C or above).
  • Experience working within EYFS settings.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with staff and parents.
  • Is proactive, resourceful, and committed to making a difference.
