Learning Mentor - Liverpool

We are currently working with a Primary School in Mossley Hill, who are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor on a long term and full-time basis.
Job responsibilities:
- Delivering coaching, mentoring and support to individuals and groups of pupils within the primary phase.
- Deliver high quality support for SEND pupils in-class, under the direction of the class teacher, for pupils to make good progress in their learning.
- To provide one to one support as directed by SENCO.
- To research, plan and deliver 1-to-1 mentoring/support sessions with identified vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils on a range of subjects that may be hindering individual learning
- To research, plan and deliver group sessions/workshops with identified vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils on a range of subjects that may be a barrier to their learning
- Provide learning support within a group and on an individual basis.
- To contribute to learners EHCPs
- To be aware of individual learner's risk assessments and needs
- Keep records associated with the support role.
Person specification:
- Experience working within a primary school setting.
- Relevant teaching or childcare qualification (desirable).
- Qualification or experience in counselling and/or mentoring (desirable).
- Fosters an open fair and equitable culture with pupils.
