Teaching Assistant

Location: Kirkby, Liverpool

Hours: Full Time (8:30am - 3:30pm)

Start Date: ASAP

The Governors of a Primary School, based in Kirkby, are looking to appoint an experienced, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will work across all key stages to support pupils with SEND.

School have high expectations and are looking for someone who is going to take a real pride in their work, who will enjoy being part of the school family and has a desire to help SEND children in their education.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Support school's Christian ethos, values and mission statement in their daily practice;
  • Complement their hard-working team;
  • Be enthusiastic;
  • Be able to work as part of a team, as well as proactively;
  • Promote positive relationships with children, parents, carers, staff and other stakeholders;
  • Have a good knowledge of the primary curriculum and how this can be adapted to meet the needs of all learners;
  • Have high expectations of themselves and of the children;
  • Be able to support SEND pupils in class and on a 1:1 basis;
  • Follow school policies and procedures well;
  • Facilitate play for and between children.
