Group Management Accountant

Manufacturing Industry, Liverpool Region

£60,000 - £65,000 (Flexible dependant on experience)

Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

I'm currently recruiting for aGroup Management Accountantto join an award-winning Manufacturing company. You will oversee the accounts of all subsidiary companies within the group. In addition to completing consolidation, reporting and forecasts, this role is also responsible for ensuring each company adheres to reporting standards and is financially compliant.

The Role:

  • Taking ownership of all aspects of the day-to-day and periodic month-end activities of the Holding company
  • Being a focal contact for all stakeholders of the Holding company; preparing the company management account, processing monthly journals and supplier invoices, maintaining invoice and expense approval system, maintaining reconciliations of all nominal accounts, maintaining fixed assets registers,
  • Processing payroll and pension contributions for Group employees
  • Reconciliations, managing cash and ad-hoc tasks.
  • Preparing the accurate and timely group consolidated Management Accounts to the agreed timetable. Intercompany reconciliations ensuring figures are updated in IC matrix and resolve variances
  • Arranging the monthly meetings to review variances on P&L , BS, and cashflow variances
  • Assuring compliance with HMRC regulations on VAT, PAYE , CT61 including any other regulatory compliances with the shareholder, any legislative stakeholders for the company and all subsidiaries.
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and analysis reports with group analyst
  • Preparation of insurance renewal information
  • Preparation of the group audit plan for the year-end process ensuring timely production of statutory accounts and company accounts for group are complied
  • Focal point of contact of shareholder (GC) for all report submission required.
  • Work in line with Governance and Compliance requirements
  • Work in line with Corporate Values: Teamwork; Honest; Openness; Trust; and Empowerment

Key Challenges:

  • Managing tight deadlines
  • Working with stakeholders across different time-zones
  • Managing time and dealing with ad-hoc requests
  • Understanding of different laws and legislation
  • Understanding of GRC and shareholder requirement

The Candidate:

Essential:

  • Qualified Management Accountant (ACCA/CIMA).
  • Experience with consolidations.
  • You must be willing to work outside of normal working hours (there is regular communication with subsidiaries in Asia, Thailand etc).
  • Part-qualified or QBE will be considered.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience of payroll processing & management

Desirable:

  • Working within a Multicompany Group environment/processing payroll
