DT Specialist - Huyton

TA secondary school in Huyton, Liverpool is looking for a DT Specialist to join them from February half-term onwards. The role is Monday to Friday, 08:30 until 15:30. The right candidate will need to be familar with resistant materials, textiles and food. This is a fixed term role until Easter, teaching a mixture of KS3 and KS4 students with SEN in small groups.

You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for those with additional needs.

DT Teacher Role & Responsibilities:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
  • Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Plan and deliver appropriate lessons in line with DT curriculum

DT Teacher Non-negotiables:

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people
  • UK QTS or equivilent OR a minimum of 12 months of teaching experience in the UK
  • Experience with children with SEN needs.
