Job Title: Project Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team for a 50 million PBSA project. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the cost control and financial aspects of the project, ensuring its delivery on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for the project.
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Prepare and submit monthly cost reports, highlighting any variances and potential risks.
  • Undertake subcontractor procurement, including tendering, negotiations, and finalizing contracts.
  • Ensure subcontractor payments are made in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Review and assess variations, ensuring that any changes to scope are accurately priced and agreed.
  • Assist in the preparation of final accounts, ensuring the project is completed within budget.
  • Work closely with the project team, providing cost advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Ensure all financial documentation and records are kept up-to-date and compliant with contractual requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with exposure to commercial development projects.
  • Experience in managing costs and budgets for projects 50 million+ in value.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, cost control, and procurement procedures.
  • Proficiency in using quantity surveying and project management software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating project risks.
