Our client, a well-rounded consultancy founded in 2003, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Liverpool office. Over the years, they have evolved into an innovative team of professionals, specialising in the design, property care, and management of the built environment.
With notable growth-including the recent establishment of two new offices-this is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor seeking to work on a broad range of projects in the education, ecclesiastical, and commercial sectors. The Liverpool office currently employs 25 staff and boasts a continually expanding workload. Looking ahead, there is also the potential to progress into a Head of Quantity Surveying role, taking the lead in developing this pivotal service within the consultancy.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in a consultancy or client-side setting, or a strong background in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for various projects.
- Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and provide financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Conduct valuations, prepare interim payment applications, and manage final accounts.
- Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Provide advice on contract administration and resolve any contractual or financial disputes.
Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a construction consultancy or client-side
- Willing to commute to Liverpoolas required
- Ideally, experience in education or high-rise residential projects (preferred but not essential)
- MRICS qualified or working towards accreditation (not essential if experienced)
