Our client is a well established company in the beauty products industry. They are currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join them on a full time, permanent basis. You will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day financial activities of the business. This includes bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll processing, credit control, and providing assistance with various operational requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Process payroll, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant legislation.
  • Assist with credit control, including monitoring outstanding payments and following up as necessary.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
  • Support any operational requirements related to financial administration and company compliance.
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Ensure financial processes align with the organisation’s goals and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and VAT management.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
