Autism Support Assistant - Huyton

Are you the kind of person that would like to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children with Autism? If so, Milk Education are recruiting for a full-time Autism Support Worker to work with children aged between 11-19 year old on a full-time term time only basis.

Your role would be based in a Special School in Huyton that caters specifically for children with Autism and Communication issues. This is a Monday - Friday role and would require you to work 08.30 - 15.30. We are not currently accepting applications for part time.

Autism Support Assistant role & responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher to deliver lessons
  • Helping the pupils regulate
  • Creating a fun and safe environment for the children to thrive
  • Assist with personal care

Autism Support Assistant Non-negotiables:

  • Must have recent and relevant experience working with children or adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism in an education or health and social care capacity
  • Be available Monday to Friday 08:30 - 15:30
  • Comfortable providing personal care
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher
