About Our Client:

One of our long-standing clients based in Livingston are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Credit Controller to join their dynamic team. As a leading provider in their industry, they are committed to delivering exceptional service and value to their clients and want someone to come on-board who shares this passion. As a Credit Controller, you will sit within the company's finance department and report directly to the Finance Manager. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of the company's credit control function and support the finance manager with other duties when required. This is a fast-paced and highly rewarding role perfect for someone looking to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

The main duties associated with this role are:

  • Managing the purchase invoicing process, including inputting invoices into the company's in-house processing system (Lightyear), and tracking them.
  • Understanding the sales and purchasing invoicing system and generating accurate sales invoices for customers.
  • Maintaining and reconciling the sales ledgers and managing the invoice financing process.
  • Chasing and collecting outstanding debt.
  • Achieving monthly targets for invoice financing and sales ledger debt collection.
  • Assisting with daily bank reconciliation and month-end reports.
  • Other adhoc duties as required.

Your Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

  • Hold or be studying towards an HNC/HND in accounting or business OR an ICM qualification.
  • Have previous experience working in a credit controller role.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Excel and experience with accounting software such as XERO.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience of working to strict targets.
