The business requires a Finance Manager to work alongside and support the Managing Director. The role will include taking responsibility for financial processes with a key objective to produce robust financial information for the Executive team.The RoleThe role will support the team and be responsible for maintaining financial records and for providing relevant information for managers and decision makers.To be considered you must possess strong technical accounting skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders right across the globe including interaction & participation with several high value projects. On OfferThe position of Finance Manager is a Permanent position and will offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The Head offices are based in Livingston with parking facilities onsite. The role will offer hybrid flexible working to allow for supportive working relationships and a healthy work life balance.You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
- Preparing group management accounts and all P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, including analysing variances to budget
- Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts
- Providing ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
- Providing detailed support on audit queries, taking responsibility for routine items
- Processing group VAT and other statutory returns
- Supervising Assistant Accountants and wider finance team
- Providing authorisation of bank transfers and weekly payment runs
- Processing and reconciling all additional recharges and transactions
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA)
- Proactive self-starter with proven ability to problem solve complex issues.
- Must have sound knowledge and expertise with core IT packages including advanced use of excel
- Excellent communicator and strong team player.
- Presence of character to command respect and build productive and collaborative working relationships at all levels
