Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of clients, including Ltd Companies, Partnerships, and Sole traders.
- Answer client queries, calls, meetings and ad-hoc touch points; meetings and calls with new clients as required
- Preparation of personal Tax returns including appointments with the client
- Preparation of corporation tax calculations and returns
- Accounts preparation (Sole Trader, Partnership, Limited etc.); Finalisation of Accounts/Final reviews to send to clients.
- Preparation of information for P11d purposes
- Assist with supervision and training of the team in Accounts Preparation
- Ad-hoc compliance work as required
- Dealing with HMRC Correspondence and queries as required
- Other client assignments as required by client requests
Skills and Experience:
- Fully ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong understanding of UK accounting practices.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a practice setting
- Ability to manage relationships with clients, offering them expert financial guidance and solutions.
- Proficient in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
- Experience managing and mentoring junior accountants or finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
