Job Title: Senior Business Analyst (Finance & Commercial) Location: United Kingdom - Remote working available 12- month FTC * Competitive salary depending on experience * Role Overview: The Senior Business Analyst will be a key player in supporting the Finance and Commercial teams by providing valuable data-driven insights, financial analysis, and strategic business support. This role is vital in maintaining and improving financial models, assessing store profitability, managing the sales bonus scheme, and driving key process improvements as part of an ongoing Finance Department transformation. In this role, you will focus on enhancing reporting systems, streamlining financial processes, and optimising decision-making. You’ll work collaboratively with various departments, including Finance, HR, Marketing, and Operations, to drive long-term efficiency and support sustainable business growth. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain financial models to assess store-level profitability and evaluate new store opportunities. • Provide in-depth analysis on property, store P&L, and offer financial support to HR and Marketing teams. • Collaborate closely with the Finance Business Partner to improve reporting tools and data analytics processes. • Build, refine, and maintain the sales bonus scheme, ensuring it aligns with the company's business goals and remains accurate. • Analyse sales performance, providing senior leadership with insights to inform decision-making. • Support the team in period-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, specifically for personnel costs. • Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of current financial processes and reporting structures. • Drive the automation of reporting systems and process improvements to reduce manual work and boost accuracy. • Provide support throughout the Finance Department restructure, ensuring a smooth transition of reporting responsibilities. Candidate Requirements: • Proven experience in finance, commercial analytics, or business partnering, with a strong background in financial modelling and performance analysis. • Strong technical skills, particularly with Excel and financial modelling tools (e.g., Power Query), alongside experience in systems enhancement and automation. • A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to assess challenges, identify solutions, and drive process improvements. • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial processes. • Commercially astute, with the ability to interpret financial data to guide strategic business decisions. • Collaborative communicator, comfortable engaging with cross-functional teams such as Finance, HR, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
