My client, a nationally recognised FMCG business, are looking to hire a Senior Commercial Analyst to join their North Wales head office on a 12 month FTC.

Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to play a pivotal role in their Finance and Commercial teams. This position offers the opportunity to provide data-driven insights, financial analysis, and business partnering support. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining and improving financial models, assessing store-level profitability, managing the sales bonus scheme, and driving process improvements. This role is based in North Wales and offers a hybrid working model with three days per week in the office.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess store-level profitability and new store opportunities
  • Provide property analysis, store P&L analysis, and financial support to Marketing and HR
  • Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner to enhance reporting tools and data analytics
  • Build, maintain, and improve the sales bonus scheme, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives
  • Analyse sales performance and provide insights to senior stakeholders
  • Support period-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for personnel costs
  • Identify efficiency opportunities within existing financial processes and reporting structures
  • Drive automation and system enhancements, reducing manual work and improving accuracy

What you bring:

  • Proven experience in finance or commercial analytics
  • Background in retail/FMCG highly desirable
  • Strong track record in financial modelling and performance analysis
  • Technical skills including strong Excel & financial modelling capabilities
  • Experience in system enhancements and automation
  • Ability to assess challenges, identify solutions, and drive process improvements
  • Attention to detail ensuring financial integrity and compliance
  • Strong commercial acumen able to interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making
  • Ability to engage with cross-functional teams
