My client, a nationally recognised FMCG business, are looking to hire a Senior Commercial Analyst to join their North Wales head office on a 12 month FTC.
Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to play a pivotal role in their Finance and Commercial teams. This position offers the opportunity to provide data-driven insights, financial analysis, and business partnering support. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining and improving financial models, assessing store-level profitability, managing the sales bonus scheme, and driving process improvements. This role is based in North Wales and offers a hybrid working model with three days per week in the office.
What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess store-level profitability and new store opportunities
- Provide property analysis, store P&L analysis, and financial support to Marketing and HR
- Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner to enhance reporting tools and data analytics
- Build, maintain, and improve the sales bonus scheme, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives
- Analyse sales performance and provide insights to senior stakeholders
- Support period-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for personnel costs
- Identify efficiency opportunities within existing financial processes and reporting structures
- Drive automation and system enhancements, reducing manual work and improving accuracy
What you bring:
- Proven experience in finance or commercial analytics
- Background in retail/FMCG highly desirable
- Strong track record in financial modelling and performance analysis
- Technical skills including strong Excel & financial modelling capabilities
- Experience in system enhancements and automation
- Ability to assess challenges, identify solutions, and drive process improvements
- Attention to detail ensuring financial integrity and compliance
- Strong commercial acumen able to interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making
- Ability to engage with cross-functional teams
