Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for a new opportunity from March 2025?

Randstad Education are currently recruiting for a School Finance Manager for a one-year maternity cover from March 2025. Previous experience is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting budgets in alignment with priorities identified for the school improvement plan.
  • Facilitating medium-term financial planning processes and identifying potential savings and pressures across the school.
  • Negotiating, managing, and monitoring contracts, procurement, tenders and agreements.
  • Preparing budget monitoring reports and projected out turns accordingly for presentation to the School Governing Body and Education Finance team.
  • Identifying new ways of working to reduce future cost pressures.
  • Developing a range of performance management systems to effectively manage the school budgets.
  • Overseeing the financial management of external funding streams.
  • Implementing the closure of accounts at year end in accordance with Financial Regulations and professional accounting standards.
  • Attending meetings with SLT, School Finance and Business support Group, and Governing Body.

Requirements:

  • Minimum AAT qualified (NVQ Level 4)
  • Previous experience working in a finance-related role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Driving License and access to a car is essential
