HFG is delighted to be working with an established Lloyd's reinsurer. They are looking for a Corporate Accountant to join their expanding team in this newly created role. In this role you will be supporting the Senior Corporate Accountant in meeting the organisation's objectives within its financial and operational framework, including updating and monitoring of adherence to accounting policies, financial control standards and ensuring their application across the group.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the monthly preparation and reconciliation of journal entries relating to the service companies within documented deadlines.
  • Support the Senior Corporate Accountant in maintaining the integrity of service company general ledgers and overall control environment. Ensuring correct allocation of costs, robust financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations are completed and signed off.
  • Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of service company related financial information and communication to relevant stakeholders.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management information packs with commentary for the Group service companies.
  • Production of Statutory Accounts for the Group service companies. Including liaising and building strong relationships with key external advisers particularly the external auditors.
