Management Accountant – The Role:
The main purpose of this job is management accounts for several global subsidiaries. This is a hybrid role with a requirement of 2 days a week in the office.
Management Accountant – Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly accounts for companies, following the IFRS principles
- Provide assistance on technical accounting issues such as revenue recognition, intangible asset impairment and business acquisitions
- Assist Group FC with the delivery of the financial statements, managing the relationship with the external auditors, in line with group reporting deadlines
- Review and approve invoices and expenses
- Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts with bank statements
- Review expenses and adjust for prepayments and accruals
- Update the fixed assets schedule and post depreciation/amortisation journals
- Other Balance Sheet reconciliations including intercompany analysis and recharges
- Review of sales and purchase ledgers
- Accountable for General Ledgers
- Stay up to date with relevant accounting standards, applying group accounting policies and internal control practices
- Providing advice and suggestions on internal control improvements and automation
- Assist the Head of accounting with ad hoc tasks
- Ad hoc reporting for regulated entities
Management Accountant – You:
- Experience using Oracle Netsuite (desirable)
- Experience using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level is a must
Â- At least 3 years’ experience working in accounts
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Performance and efficiency driven
- Methodical & excellent problem-solving skills
- Payments industry experience (not essential)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Good level of numeracy with a close attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads & meet deadlines
- Works well as part of a team
- Ability to be proactive, good initiative and deliver results
- Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
