An rapidly growing InsurTech MGA are looking for a Assistant Accountant to join their finance department to support the business across a variety of areas, including handling general IBA duties, credit control, broker remittance and finance queries, supplier payments and accounting and bookkeeping.
Some of the day to day responsibilities will include:
- Processing broker remittance and allocating payments
- Month end processing of payments due to carriers
- Identifying errors in broker payments and following up on these
- Weekly employee expense payments & processing
- Weekly supplier payment run
- Preparation of month end Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet
- Reconciliation of the bank accounts
- Assisting with the audit queries
- Other ad-hoc compliance, investor, auditor, VAT, tax, capacity or regulatory reporting
The successful candidate for this Assistant Accountant will need experience in working in an accounting function in the insurance industry or previous IBA experience. The candidate must also be confident is MS office.
