The Admissions Administrative Assistant is a front-facing, customer service-oriented position that requires excellent administrative skills and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
Admissions Administrative Assistant:
- Salary: £30,161 Per annum
- Job Type: Term-time plus eight additional weeks (42 weeks per year)
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekends
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Respond professionally and efficiently to telephone, email, and face-to-face inquiries, ensuring all families receive excellent service.
- Process registrations using the school's database, check applications, request additional information, and manage communications with prospective students and their families.
- Facilitate and help deliver admissions events such as open days, interview days, and new joiner events.
- Administer and collate candidate references, scholarship applications, and special educational needs reports.
- Assist with the preparation of interview materials and exam papers.
- Support the administration of bursary applications and the onboarding of new students.
- Create and update marketing materials and admissions pages on the website.
- Manage the diary for the Admissions Department and the Director of Admissions and Bursaries.
- Undertake general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the Admissions Department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven administrative experience with excellent attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, with proficiency in English.
- Highly numerate with excellent IT skills, including Excel and Google Docs.
- Experience with mail merges and spreadsheet management.
- Knowledge of iSAMS or similar MIS is desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A systematic approach to tasks and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
