Our client is currently seeking a Housing Allocations Administrator to join their Allocation & Mobility Team (Public Sector).

This is a temporary position, offering a part-time working pattern of 2 days per week (Monday & Tuesday) from 9am to 5pm, with the role being office based at our client's location in Wandsworth.

As the Allocations Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of the Allocations Team, specifically focusing on the Downsizing side of the team. This fast-paced operational setting requires strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.

Your main responsibilities will include assisting the Allocation & Mobility Officers with various administrative tasks related to the allocation of housing stock. This will involve, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Conducting assessments of downsizing housing applications and ensuring that all supporting documents are filed accurately and promptly
  • Maintaining accurate records and efficiently managing files
  • Responding to and assisting with inquiries from applicants, stakeholders, and colleagues through the team inbox and telephone
  • Collaborating with external contractors as required
  • Assisting in the monitoring of void properties within the team

To excel in this role, you should possess strong organisational skills and be able to manage multiple tasks effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills are essential to provide high-quality support to the Allocation & Mobility Team.

To be successful in this position, you must have previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a housing or similar setting. Additionally, proficiency in using various computer systems and databases is required.
