Business Support Officer - Social Care

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Business Support Officer to join our client's Social Care Support Team. This role plays a vital part in delivering comprehensive administrative support for both Adults' and Children's Social Care, ensuring that critical services operate efficiently and effectively.

The role involves coordinating and minuting safeguarding meetings in line with established procedures, processing referrals and applications, handling social care complaints, managing subject access requests, and assisting with recruitment processes. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate data records, ensuring statutory requirements and timeframes are met, and supporting business and social care processes to a high standard.

A key aspect of the role is providing customer-facing support, engaging with clients, handling correspondence, emails, and phone calls, and managing client relationships professionally and sensitively. You will work closely with multi-agency partners, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to handle complex information with confidentiality and accuracy.

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in coordinating statutory and complex meetings, producing accurate and detailed minutes, and using a range of IT systems in a professional environment. The ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and prioritise tasks is essential. You should be proactive in identifying service improvements and ensuring compliance with data protection and information governance policies.

This is a full-time temporary position, primarily home-based, but requiring attendance at the office at least once a week or more, as needed. The role requires an Enhanced DBS check, along with five years of references. If you have strong administrative skills and a passion for supporting social care services, we would love to hear from you.
