Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:

    • Provide comprehensive administrative services to various components of the Neighbourhoods Directorate, focusing on Environmental Health and Trading Standards.
    • Deliver high-quality, self-directed administrative support, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tasks.
  • Data Management:

    • Maintain, update, and quality assure various IT systems and records.
    • Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and quality, including data input and document management.
    • Adhere to legislative time constraints and standards.
  • Workload Management:

    • Prioritize tasks effectively in a pressurized environment with competing demands.
    • Support multiple frontline teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Proactively seek to raise standards and improve consistency across the team.
    • Contribute to the development of the Business Services Team's 'service offer' to create a professional and future-proof administrative environment.
  • Liaison and Communication:

    • Maintain awareness of wider issues and changes impacting the directorate's daily support needs.
    • Liaise with external bodies and government agencies as required.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Organizational Skills:

    • Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Attention to Detail:

    • High level of accuracy in data management and administrative tasks.
