Your new roleThe Executive Officer (EO) will provide essential administrative support to the Committee Services Team, helping to manage a high backlog of work and ensuring smooth operations. This role involves significant exposure to finance, legal, policy, and governance aspects. The EO will engage in a variety of tasks, including:

  • Administrative Support: Managing and coordinating administrative tasks, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Communication: High-level communication with pharmaceutical companies and external experts, managing emails and phone calls.
  • Data Management: Collating and investigating information, uploading papers to the system, and creating briefing notes.
  • Meeting Coordination: Sending meeting links, delegating tasks, and ensuring experts are paid on time.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the team in managing the backlog of work and supporting committee operations.
  • Provide reliable and trustworthy support, ensuring all papers are submitted on time and meetings are well-coordinated.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies.
  • Analyse and interpret data, producing reports and briefing notes.
  • Work flexibly with a variety of team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure efficient management of emails and phone calls.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Pharmacy, health, or scientific background is desirable due to the nature of the paperwork and acronyms.
  • High proficiency in email literacy and managing inboxes.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Experience in a similar administrative role.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in finance, legal, policy, and governance aspects is beneficial.
