Are you a highly organised and proactive administrator with experience in a school or nursery setting? A welcoming nursery school in Islington is seeking a School Secretary to provide essential administrative support to the Principal, Deputy Principal, and teaching team. - Administrative Support: Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery office.
- Communication: Answer and redirect calls/emails, liaise with parents, staff, and external partners.
- Organisation: Manage school schedules, visits, events, and meetings.
- Finance: Handle invoicing, petty cash, expense reports, and nursery fees.
- Compliance: Maintain nursery policies, procedures, and records in line with Ofsted and safeguarding regulations.
- Data Management: Update class lists, allergy information, staff/parent contact details, and extra-curricular activity registers.
- Procurement: Order office supplies, groceries, school lunches, and educational resources.
- Training & Policies: Book staff training sessions and ensure compliance with nursery policies.
- Experience in a school or nursery administrative role (preferred).
- Knowledge of school/nursery legislation, including Ofsted and safeguarding.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong IT skills, including experience with school/nursery management systems.
- A professional, friendly, and proactive approach to work.
