This is a full-time role which starts immediately and is offered on a hybrid basis. The salary is between £34,500 and £39,000 depending on experience.
As a Timetable Officer, you will play a crucial role supporting the Timetabling Lead Officer. You will assist with the teaching timetable, the allocation of space and resources and the provision of a room booking service. In addition, you will deputise for Timetabling Lead Officer in their absence, confidently liaising with College Managers and other senior stakeholders. You will also maintain and update the timetable web pages. This position offers an amazing opportunity to contribute to a busy yet vibrant academic environment.
Timetable Officer Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Timetabling Lead Officer in the compilation and publication of the teaching timetable including deputising for the Lead Officer in their absence
- Collecting and modelling of timetable data. Scheduling rooms, staff and resources, organising weekly printed room timetables
- Solving complex timetable queries effectively and efficiently and signposting when necessary
- Preparing and overseeing the running of School Room Audits
- Maintaining and updating the timetable web pages, including publication of the live timetable pages and overseeing Web Room Booking software
- Ensuring that regular bookings are in place for exams, open days, closures and maintenance work, including organisation and notification of room changes
Timetable Officer Key Skills:
- Experience in an administrative role within a higher education setting with knowledge of Timetabling and confident using Syllabus Plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on exceptional customer service
- A proactive approach with excellent time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Highly proficient in IT systems including Microsoft as well as student records systems and virtual learning environments and timetabling software, Syllabus Plus
