We are currently recruiting for a Broker Operations Technician on behalf of our client, a dynamic Lloyd's Syndicate with a growing reputation in the market.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding, dynamic company, and work within a bustling Operations team that is regularly undertaking new opportunities and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Internal Broker / Credit Control Manager.
  • Overseeing the unallocated messages process to support month-end.
  • Preparing any reporting for the Internal & Credit Control Manager.
  • Assisting with investigating the validity and the managing of legacy debt.
  • Liaising and supporting the company's outsource providers for the swift collection of payments.
  • Investigating risk capture queries resulting from the mis-match of premiums and providing resolutions accordingly.
  • Proposing any improvements and enhancements of the credit control operational systems and processes.
  • Supporting new systems / functionality User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as required.
  • Creating awareness within the business to prevent the renewal of premiums and issue of claims against unpaid premiums.
  • Assisting with the end-to-end process of risks written via the company's internal broker.
  • Drafting placing documentation to a Market Reform Contract (MRC) standard.
  • Processing premium and claims transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Completing bank reconciliations to ensure that monies received reconcile and are paid to the syndicate account.
  • Supporting and developing relationships with the Underwriting function.

Key Requirements

  • Ideally looking for candidates with 1-2 years insurance experience, preferably gained within the Lloyd's Market. However, graduates / school leavers with knowledge of the insurance industry and a strong work ethic will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of different systems (Eclipse, ECF, IMR) and BDX is preferred, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong computer skills, including good knowledge of MS Office.
