Our client, a prestigious banking brand who has been situated in the UK for nearly 50 years, is seeking a new Credit Administration Officer to support their wider Lending team in the full cycle from pre-disbursement support through to post-completion.

Overview

The job holder is expected to carry out over time all round credit administration function from pre-disbursement support through to post-completion follow up ensuring prevailing policy and guidelines are adhered to in full compliance with procedures as well as applicable external rules and regulations. The role entails producing exemplary documentation based on in house templates, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders/counterparties (Business, Credit, Remedial, Monitoring, Operations, Treasury, panel solicitors and valuers) as needed to ensure each stage is timely managed for a range of lending products which is chiefly made up of real estate loans but also includes SME working capital, trade finance facilities and Islamic lending. Also, the job holder is expected to be able to contribute to maintaining MI, files and records for both reporting an and audit trail purposes. as well as contribute to periodical audit enquiries and ad hoc projects/tasks as and when required.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Pre-disbursement:

1) Prepare in house term sheet, facility letter, addendum, etridge, borrower consent, lien on deposit authorisation in a timely manner following credit approval.

2) Solicit fee quotes from valuers and solicitors on panel.

3) Pro-actively follow up with business the return of signed term sheet, facility letter, addendum etc and the required commitment fee.

4) Coordinate and instruct the appointment of solicitors and valuers as chosen by client.

5) Review valuation report.

6) Follow up with solicitors until the legal conveyancing is completed and required documentation are executed in order as per bank’s prevailing requirement. Ensuring all Condition Presidents are satisfied. Oversee queries raised by panel solicitors and valuers, resolving issues and/or referring them to the Head of Credit Administration or, where relevant, the Head of Credit Approval, Head of Credit in accordance with delegated authorities. Keep Business updated on the progress.

Disbursement:

7) Review and assess Report on title and valuation report, identifying key risks, recommending possible mitigants.

8) Carry out the disbursement processes and booking of loan limit and collateral in system.

9) Liaison with Business, Operations, Credit Approval, Monitoring and Remedial as appropriate.

Post completion:

10) Follow up with bank solicitors for full set of dated and signed pdf copies of credit documents.

11) Follow up with bank solicitors for perfection of bank’s executed charge documents and thereafter the return of full set of signed and dated hardcopies.

12) Follow up on any condition subsequent.

13) Maintain proper filing system.

Others:

14) Assist in the maintenance of data bases used by the team. Update of data associated with limits and collateral (e.g. limit, review date, insurance, valuation, tenancy etc).

15) Deliver on service level agreements (SLAs) in respect of Limit Management & Control processes.

16) Deliver on service level agreements (SLAs) in respect of Collateral Management & Control process.

17) Deliver on service level agreements (SLAs) in respect of Documentation process .

18) Attend to lease consents requests involving solicitors for vetting the lease to ensure no onerous clauses.

19) Attend to discharge and redemption request.

20) Assist branch staff with issues relating to credit documentation and limit and collateral management.

21) Participate in revaluation Project - Instructing Bank’s valuers to conduct valuation reviews on properties that are to be revalued and reviewing all reports and raising issues with relevant RM’s and CAU.

22) Projects on an adhoc basis relating to the credit administration function and its improvement.
