Page Personnel is partnering with a start up Fintech firm that is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join them on a temporary ongoing basis, offering an immediate start. This position will be based at their head office in London and will offer flexible hybrid working to the successful applicant. Financial services experience (ideally in Fintech) is required to be considered for the position, along with a strong interest in the Fintech space and a drive to grow and develop with the business.

Our client is in the process of establishing their presence in the industry and is planning to open additional offices across Europe. The platform they have launched integrates traditional and digital financial management, with key features including savings accounts and investment strategies.

Description

As Accounts Payable Specialist, your key duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Review, verify, and process invoices and expense reports, ensuring accurate coding and policy adherence.
  • Prepare and execute payments via checks, electronic transfers, and ACH, managing schedules for timely settlements.
  • Maintain vendor records, resolve discrepancies, handle inquiries, and build positive relationships.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements for accuracy.
  • Monitor and review employee expense reports for policy compliance and proper documentation.
  • Keep organised records of accounts payable transactions, including invoices and payment confirmations.
  • Generate reports on accounts payable activities, including outstanding payables and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, and assist with audits.
  • Use accounting software to manage data and accounts payable functions, and support system updates.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to invoices, payments, or vendor accounts.
  • Collaborate with departments like procurement and finance to streamline processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Profile

The succesful candidate will ideally hold the following:

  • A BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance or be studying towards completion of AAT.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with previous experience in the Financial Services sector.
  • Must be immediately available or on a reduced notice period.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
