I am delighted to be paired with a global Law firm in their search for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Accounts Payable specialist to join a great firm.

Day duties of the role:

  • Take full ownership of the accounts payable function.
  • Support the team with recording firm expenses through Concur.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices.
  • Record and reconcile credit card transactions and direct debits.
  • Verify and process external professional fees and disbursements.
  • Handle refunds and credits in compliance with SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash.
  • Upload payments into the banking system and submit them for approval.
  • Check, format, and submit taxi/courier invoices to the US for uploading.
  • Organize and upload digital invoices into the accounting software.
  • Generate month-end reports for management and audit purposes.

The right candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of VAT processes.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly motivated and driven to provide excellent service to both internal and external clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
