Cedar is recruiting a Finance Administrator to join a prestigious higher education institute in the South East to support the finance department with all transactions and processes.

Rate: £18 - £21 per hour (Inside IR35)

Location: South East of England

Hybrid Pattern: 2-3 days on site per week

Contract Length: 2 months

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process all financial transactions within the department in line with financial regulations.
  • Produce reports and statistics to support financial decision making.
  • Act as the first point of contact for departmental queries and assist team members on system related questions.
  • Liaise with the relevant teams on queries related to expenses, invoices and the management of financial data.
  • Diligently process interdepartmental transfers and expense / travel claims.
  • Support the admin team with requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Update financial records accordingly and investigate discrepancies on accounts.
  • Provide ad hoc support to senior members of staff.
  • Manage stationery stock and replenish as required.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of financial processes and regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. use of formulas).
  • Sound knowledge of MyFinance system.
  • Higher Education experience is advantageous.
