Maintenance Manager in London needed for fantastic Opportunity. We are seeking an experienced and well-organised Maintenance Manager to oversee the smooth running of a multi-use facility in central London. This role involves managing day-to-day maintenance, coordinating with external contractors, and ensuring the premises remain safe, efficient, and well-presented at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out regular maintenance tasks and minor repairs
- Overseeing external contractors for specialist works, refurbishments, and servicing
- Acting as the first point of contact for maintenance issues, both routine and emergency
- Monitoring the condition of the building through regular inspections
- Supporting planned works and contributing to ongoing improvements across the site
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and functionality throughout the building
- Managing supplier relationships and ensuring value for money on services provided
- Maintaining accurate records for health and safety and statutory compliance
- Ensuring the site operates in line with current health and safety legislation
- Contributing to sustainability efforts by identifying ways to reduce waste and environmental impact
- Assisting with other building management tasks as needed, including porterage and general support
About You
- Previous experience in a maintenance or building management role is essential
- Strong practical skills with the ability to carry out a range of repairs
- Confident overseeing contractors and ensuring work is completed to a high standard
- Good understanding of building systems, maintenance planning, and health and safety regulations
- Well-organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with clients, staff, or suppliers
- Familiarity with record-keeping systems and Microsoft Office
- A facilities management qualification is beneficial but not essential
- Flexibility to respond to occasional out-of-hours issues
