Chef Required

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Chef to join our team preparing and making food for children. The ideal candidate will have a culinary background and a flair for creating delicious and healthy food dishes that delight our children. This is a day time only position and will involve no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

Ideally suit someone with either a BTEC, NVQ, City and Guilds qualification in food preparation, cooking or Diploma in Professional Cookery from Uk or Overseas.

Or a BA Hons Degree in Culinary Arts, additional certificates and training in food hygiene, allergies, health and safety would be desirable.

Starting Salary: 26,000-29,000pa + day shifts only, excellent further training and career progression will be provided, paid holidays.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals using fresh ingredients for children
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support, ensure efficient operation.
  • Manage food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with management on menu development and special event planning.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Foster a positive team environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
