Donostia has received critical acclaim since its opening in 2012. We serve Basque inspired tapas and pintxo dishes prepared by a highly professional team of chefs, using the best quality, seasonal ingredients.

We are looking for a talented & enthusiastic CDP to run and manage a section in the kitchen

Donostia is located in Marylebone, operating 7 days a week. Much of the clientele is local with a large number of loyal regulars.

About the Role

This is an incredibly exciting and rewarding opportunity for a chef who comes from a food focused background, and have a friendly, positive attitude. The kitchen is well organized and delivers the best dishes to our guests.

You must be a passionate and talented individual who can remain calm and in control under pressure, with the ability to work with and a small team of chefs, while maintaining good supplier relationships and all Health & Safety in the kitchen

Main Responsibilities

Run services, place orders and achieve target margins

Be ateam playerandensure a smooth service

Monitor standards of hygiene to ensure the highest standards are maintained

Manage and control wastage of food products to control the cost of food sales

The Ideal Candidate

Quality driven

Have excellent culinary skills with an attention to detail

Knowledge of Basque / Spanish food a plus

Have sound knowledge of hygiene, health and safety requirements

Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure

A team player with experience of supervising a team within a similar environment

This role is full time and permanent.

Salary / Benefits

28-34k based on 7 shifts per week + overtime paid on top + bonus
